Nawaz Sharif submits health report to HC ahead of return

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been reported to have “residual angina symptoms” that require further medical investigations in London and Pakistan. Sharif, who has been in self-imposed exile in the UK for the past four years, left for medical treatment in 2019 while serving a jail term for corruption. The Lahore High Court had allowed him to travel abroad based on health reports, but he never returned. Sharif’s party, PML-N, has stated that he will surrender to the courts after his return to Pakistan.
