Let security forces stay in Red-hit areas: CM Hemant Soren to Centre
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah to ensure that the state receives its royalties of Rs 1.36 lakh crore from nationalized mining companies. Soren emphasized the need for development projects and social welfare schemes in Naxal-hit districts. He also urged the Home Ministry to continue deploying central paramilitary forces to prevent the Naxals from regaining their lost ground. Soren further requested the release of the Centre’s “Special Central Assistance” funds for Jharkhand’s LWE-affected districts and highlighted the halt in improving communications in these areas due to a lack of equipment.
