Sanskrit University prof exonerated

The internal complaints committee of Sanskrit College and University in Kolkata has dismissed the charges of discrimination made by a queer student against an associate professor. The committee concluded that there was no evidence of “queerphobia or discrimination” and that the allegations were based on hearsay. The student had claimed that the professor made derogatory remarks about the queer community during a lecture. The professor called the complaint a deliberate attempt to harass and defame them.
