EPS lambasts BJP on poll battle; DMK slams governor

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami has dismissed BJP president K Annamalai’s remark that the 2024 election would be a battle between DMK and BJP as “deliberate propaganda”. Palaniswami stated that the AIADMK is the principal opposition party in Tamil Nadu and has the support of the people. He also mentioned that the AIADMK alliance would be strong and victorious, with more parties joining. Palaniswami clarified that the AIADMK has already taken a clear decision regarding its alliance and there is no need to discuss it repeatedly. He also stated that the party would campaign for the welfare of Tamil people regardless of who comes to power.
