ED probes Sanjay’s stake in biz venture

The Enforcement Directorate is questioning senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh and his close aides in relation to the Delhi liquor scam. They are focusing on a stake that Singh acquired through his parliamentary secretary Vivek Tyagi in a firm involved in the liquor cartel. The ED claims that Singh was involved in extending favours to private individuals in the excise policy formulation. The investigation found that Singh had assured a co-accused to make changes in the excise policy that would benefit a liquor trader. Singh’s assistants have also been summoned for questioning.
