Excise scam: Mahendru’s interim bail plea rejected

A Delhi court has rejected the interim bail application of Sameer Mahendru in a money laundering case related to a scam in the Delhi Excise Policy. Mahendru had sought bail on medical grounds, citing multiple surgeries and the need for post-surgery rehabilitation. The court stated that most of these facilities could be provided to him in jail and that he could be taken to specialized hospitals if required. The court also directed the provision of a full-time attendant to prevent similar incidents in the future.
