Iran says attack on Israel is Palestinian ‘self-defence’

Iran’s foreign ministry has described the recent attacks by Hamas on Israel as an act of self-defense by Palestinians. The ministry has called on Muslim countries to support the rights of the Palestinians. Iranian state media quoted a spokesperson from the ministry stating that the attacks were a natural reaction to Israel’s provocative policies. Iranian officials have also expressed their belief that the attacks will expedite the collapse and annihilation of the Zionist regime.
