A decade on, consultant to be hired to look for infra gaps in industrial pocket

The Delhi government plans to hire a consultant to help develop and manage the Bhorgarh Industrial Area in northwest Delhi. The area, which was set up over a decade ago, currently has only 5% of its industrial pockets functioning. The consultant will be responsible for suggesting an economically viable and technically feasible plan for the area’s development and maintenance. The government expects a large number of units to emerge in the capital with the implementation of the new Startup Policy. The low occupancy in Bhorgarh is attributed to incomplete electrification, inadequate water supply, and the absence of streetlights.
