The Indian Air Force (IAF) is increasing its role in the Eastern Ladakh region near China and is acquiring long-range surveillance radar systems to monitor enemy activity, according to Air Commodore D S Handa. The IAF has already installed radars in strategic locations in the area and is responsible for delivering supplies to troops stationed there. The airshow held in Leh aimed to inspire young people to join the IAF and showcased the country’s aerospace advancements.
