Kasaragod in Kerala clocks quickest police response time: 9.41 minutes

A recent analysis of police control room vehicles in Kerala found that on average, it takes them 20 minutes to reach a distressed caller. The data, collected over a 24-hour period, showed that the fastest response time was in Kasaragod at 9 minutes and 41 seconds, while the slowest was in Pathanamthitta at 28 minutes and 50 seconds. Out of 5,361 calls received, only 690 were actual distress events. Police are working to reduce response times through strategic deployment of vehicles and staggered duty shifts.
