Dengue fight: Drones keep eye on S Dum Dum rooftops

The South Dum Dum Municipality in Kolkata has started using drones to identify stagnant water and spray larvicide in dengue-affected areas. The drones help to reach areas where it is difficult for workers to enter, such as abandoned houses and factories. This initiative aims to reduce the breeding of mosquitoes and control the dengue outbreak in the region. The neighboring Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation also used tree trimming machines to kill mosquito larvae on the rooftops of abandoned houses.
