Nobel prize in Economic Sciences awarded to Claudia Goldin

Claudia Goldin has been awarded the 2023 Nobel prize in Economic Sciences for her contributions to understanding women’s labor market outcomes. The prize, announced by The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, is the final award of this year’s Nobels season. The Economics Award, established in 1968, is formally known as the Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.
