TN body-builder dead in steam bath after workout

A 41-year-old fitness trainer and bodybuilder in Chennai died after an intense workout at a gym. Yogesh, who had won nine events and the Mr Tamil Nadu title in 2022, had resumed preparation for an upcoming competition. After an hour of exercise, he left to take a steam bath but was later found unconscious in the bathroom. Doctors at the hospital declared cardiac arrest as the cause of death. Other bodybuilders advised against taking steam baths immediately after intense workouts due to extreme dehydration.
