UP: Teacher, 50, elopes with minor student

A case has been lodged against a 50-year-old teacher in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda for allegedly eloping with a 17-year-old student. The girl has been missing since Friday and is believed to have taken cash and jewellery from her home. The teacher, who taught Hindi to the minor, is also accused of uploading an objectionable video of the girl. Police are currently searching for the teacher and have alerted bus stops and railway stations in the region.
