Hardee’s workers stole customers’ credit cards to bail out inmates: Michigan police

Fraudsters at a Hardee’s restaurant in Michigan City stole customers’ debit card information and used the funds to bail inmates out of the LaPorte County Jail. The fraudulent charges amounted to $14,700. The scheme involved Hardee’s employees photographing customers’ debit and credit cards and using the accounts to deposit funds into inmates’ Securus accounts.
