PM Modi reviews progress on schemes based on announcements in his Independence Day speech

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the progress of schemes announced on Independence Day. The focus was on welfare projects for women, including making 2 crore women engaged in self-help groups or anganwadis “Lakhpatis” and empowering 15,000 women SHGs. The meeting also discussed plans to equip 15,000 women SHGs with drones for agriculture, increase the number of Jan Aushadhi Stores, and provide solar power to households.
