SC seeks report from CAQM on steps to check winter pollution
The Supreme Court has requested a report from the Commission for Air Quality Management on the measures taken to control pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR) ahead of the winter season. The report is expected to address the issue of stubble burning, which contributes to the deteriorating air quality in the region. The court has set a deadline of October 31 for the report to be submitted. The Commission has been established to coordinate actions and execute plans to prevent and control air pollution in the NCR and surrounding areas.
