Iran’s allies in Iraq, Yemen threaten US over intervention in Israel

Iraqi and Yemeni armed groups aligned with Iran have threatened to target U.S. interests with missiles and drones if the U.S. intervenes to support Israel in its conflict with Hamas in Gaza. Kataib Hezbollah, a powerful armed faction in Iraq with ties to Iran, stated that it would target U.S. bases with missiles, drones, and special forces. Similarly, the leader of Yemen’s Houthi Movement warned of military retaliation in response to any US intervention.
