New study reveals insights into ancient European funerary practices

A recent study on the funerary practices of early humans during the Magdalenian period in Europe suggests that cannibalism may have been a deliberate cultural practice rather than driven by survival instincts. The study examined 59 sites across Europe, with 13 showing clear evidence of cannibalism and two displaying both burials and cannibalism.
