Assets ‘of Raja’ now in ED possession

The Enforcement Directorate has taken possession of 15 properties, including a 45-acre land in Coimbatore worth around Rs 55 crore, as part of a money laundering investigation against former minister A Raja. The properties were purchased using proceeds of crime generated by Raja and were attached by the ED in December last year. The possession has been taken to prevent Raja and his benamis from enjoying the properties.
