A historical register, partially eaten by termites, containing details of a FIR against freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad has been discovered in a police station in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The page with the details has been framed and displayed on the wall of the station. The FIR was filed after a police encounter in 1931, where Azad fought to protect his friend and ultimately shot himself to avoid capture by the British police. The investigation officer at the time was Sub-inspector Rai Sahib Chaudhary Rishal Singh.
