The sudden change in weather after the monsoon in Pune has led to a rise in viral infections, including fever and common cold. Doctors have reported an increase in patients with influenza and influenza-like illness (ILI), as well as severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) requiring hospitalization. Children below 10 and individuals above 60 are more vulnerable to these infections. Experts advise consuming fresh food, avoiding unhygienic eatables, and staying hydrated to prevent infections.
