Man attacked with acid by ex-partner

A 21-year-old youth was attacked with acid by his former live-in partner in Guntur district. The victim, Orchu Venkatesh, had developed a relationship with the accused woman, Manjula Radha, who was married and living alone. Venkatesh’s family members objected to the relationship, causing tension between them. Radha, seeking revenge, hired an autorickshaw and threw acid at Venkatesh’s face. He sustained minor burns and Radha has been arrested by the police.
