Delays in registering of sale deeds at sub-registrar office irk citizens

The online Generic Documents Registration System used for registering sale deeds in Goa has caused inconvenience for applicants. They are required to pay for appointments and wait for up to a month to receive copies of sale deeds. The problem is most severe in Mapusa, Panaji, and Margao. The department admitted that the staff is struggling to handle the large number of daily requests due to the limited capacity of the existing document scanners. They are planning to install high-speed scanners by the end of the year to address the issue.
