Tirupati soon to become first AP city to run double decker e-buses

Tirupati, a temple city in Andhra Pradesh, is set to become the first city in the state to introduce double decker buses for public transport. The Tirupati municipal corporation is focusing on creating a world-class public transport system to cater to the city’s population of four lakh and the daily influx of over one lakh pilgrims. The double decker buses will connect important tourist spots in the city, and the first electric bus is expected to hit the roads by the end of the month.
