‘MNF baptised with martyrs’ blood’: Zoramthanga sure of retaining power

Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga expressed confidence that his party, the Mizo National Front (MNF), will retain power in the upcoming assembly elections. He referred to the period of insurgency when the MNF was an armed outfit and stated that the party has been “baptised with martyrs’ blood.” The elections will be held on November 7, and the results will be announced on December 3. The MNF is competing against the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) and the Congress in a triangular fight.
