Trio who assaulted student held for abetting his suicide

Three individuals have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the suicide of a journalism student in Jolarpet, Tamil Nadu. The deceased, a 21-year-old student named Thotasri Manikanta, had jumped from a moving train. The suspects, who are relatives of Manikanta’s classmate Anu, had assaulted him and warned him to end his relationship with her. After the incident, Manikanta took a train to Anantapur and is believed to have jumped from the train in Jolarpet. The police apprehended the suspects based on statements from Manikanta’s mother and Anu.
