Sukesh Chandrashekhar case: Delhi LG VK Saxena gives nod to probe against 8 jail officials

The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has granted permission for the Delhi Police to investigate the role of eight prison officials in an organized crime syndicate run by accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar from Rohini Jail. The officials are already in judicial custody and are accused of helping Chandrashekhar by providing him with facilities such as mobile phones and a separate barrack. The investigation will be conducted under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The police have collected and analyzed footage from various cameras in the jail and checked duty rosters and phone details of the staff involved.
