The Dominican Republic has partially reopened its border with Haiti for limited commercial activity, following a month-long closure due to a dispute over the construction of a canal. Vendors in Dominican border cities can now sell basic goods, but the export of electronic products and construction materials is prohibited. The border remains closed to all migrants and visas for Haitian citizens are still banned.
