LA teen with Mumbai roots aims to empower disadvantaged students through music

Mishka Aswani, a 15-year-old from Los Angeles, has started the ‘Music Matters Project’ to make music accessible to underprivileged school children in India. Inspired by her own experience of playing the piano, Mishka wanted to extend this privilege to others. She found that music often takes a backseat in Indian schools and started donating musical instruments to schools that do not have music programs.
