The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has identified 164 spots in industrial areas where domestic waste is being dumped and burnt at night. To address this issue, DPCC, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), and the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) will conduct regular monitoring of these areas. The capital has a total of 29,330 units in 28 approved industrial areas, generating around 29.65 million litres per day of effluent and 11.36 tonnes per day of hazardous waste. DPCC will also monitor these vulnerable spots once a week to ensure there are no waste dumps.
