Hamas tells Gaza residents to stay home as Israel ground offensive looms

Residents of the Gaza Strip are being urged by mosques to stay in their homes, as Israel’s military has told over 1 million people to relocate south, anticipating a ground invasion. The conflict between the Israeli military and Hamas has reached a critical point, with the bloodiest attack on Israel since the 1973 war. Israel’s heavy airstrikes have led to speculation of a massive invasion to eliminate Hamas, evoking memories of the Nakba in 1948.
