Government has ‘good news’ for Apple, Samsung and other laptop makers

The Indian government has decided not to impose licensing requirements on the import of PCs, laptops, and tablets but will monitor their inbound shipments instead. This is a relief for companies like Apple and Samsung, which import laptops into India. An import management system will be implemented from November 1 to track these imports.
