Apple has released the iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma updates, both of which include passkey support to eliminate the need for passwords. Users can now log in to Apple apps and services using passkeys instead of Face ID or Touch ID. The feature is available on all Apple platforms running the latest operating systems. Passkeys can also be used for non-Apple services by selecting the “Sign-in with iPhone” option, which requires Face ID or Touch ID authentication.
