‘Frustration … ‘: Ex-Cong chief of Telangana, quits party

The Congress party in Telangana lost a senior leader Ponnala Laxmaiah who resigned from the party citing an “unjust environment”. Laxmaiah cited lack of respect for senior leaders and favoritism towards newcomers as reasons for his resignation. He also mentioned instances where he was denied meetings with party leaders. There are speculations that he may join the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. This comes as a blow to the Congress party, which is hoping to make a comeback in the upcoming elections.
