Income tax recovers ₹42 crore during Karnataka operations

Income tax officials in Karnataka have reportedly recovered over Rs 42 crore in search-and-seizure operations at the properties of various contractors. The money was allegedly found at the residence of Congress leader Ashwathamma and her contractor husband R Ambikapathy. The raids have sparked political controversy, with opposition parties accusing the Congress of illegal fund collection for the upcoming assembly elections.
