Monkey attends last rites of human friend, ‘observes fast’

A monkey in Amroha district formed a strong bond with a farmer who shared his food with it. When the farmer passed away, the monkey showed great grief and even accompanied the family to the cremation ground. The monkey remained desolate after the funeral and only ate on the following day. Eventually, it returned to the forest.
