40 years on, India, Sri Lanka restart ferry service

India and Sri Lanka have resumed ferry services between Nagapattinam port in Tamil Nadu and Kankesanthurai in Sri Lanka, marking an important milestone in bilateral relations. The ferry services, which were previously suspended in the 1980s for security reasons, will enhance connectivity, promote trade, and strengthen the historical and cultural links between the two countries.
