Govt tweaks user-fee rule on NH stretches back with NHAI

Commuters will now have to continue paying the full user fee on national highway stretches developed under the build-operate-transfer (BOT-Toll) mode, even after the contracts end and the projects are handed back to the NHAI or other highway agencies. Previously, toll fees were reduced to 40% once the projects were returned to the government.
