Ramakrishna Mission to celebrate Durga Puja for first time in capital

Ramakrishna Mission, known for its cultural and spiritual heritage, will celebrate Durga Puja in New Delhi for the first time in its 96-year history. The event will take place near Ram Krishna Ashram Marg Metro Station in Paharganj and will include the construction of an elaborate pandal with a marble platform for the devi’s idol. The celebration will also feature a special ‘kumari puja’ where an unmarried teenage girl is worshipped symbolically as a goddess. The event has been made possible due to an increase in volunteers and devotees.
