After Sikkim flood, government plans step to cut Glof risk

The Indian government is planning to develop a comprehensive National Glof Risk Mitigation Measure following recent Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (Glof) triggered by a cloudburst in Sikkim. The measure will aim to reduce the volume of water in glacial lakes to minimize the risk of flash floods.
