Priest held for posing as Murty’s aide

A 34-year-old priest in Bengaluru has been arrested for impersonating Sudha Murty’s staff and using her name to illegally make money. The accused, Arun Kumar, collected Rs 5 lakh from a group by convincing them that he could get Murty to attend a function in the US. The police investigation revealed that Kumar had committed both frauds. Two women had initially been accused, but it was later discovered that Kumar was behind the scams.
