Australian regulator, the e-Safety Commission, has fined Elon Musk’s social media platform, X, A$610,500 ($386,000) for failing to cooperate with a probe into anti-child abuse practices. The platform, formerly known as Twitter, failed to respond to questions about its response time to child abuse reports and the methods used to detect such material. The fine is a reputational blow for X, which has seen a decline in revenue and has been accused of going soft on moderating content.
