EC poll apps run into gender hurdle in Rajasthan

Representatives of the Rajasthan state election commission are facing opposition from certain communities who do not want their women members to use mobile apps and social media due to the “stigma attached to it.” The state government had distributed smartphones to women residents before the assembly elections.
