P20 keeps Israel-Hamas fight out of its joint declaration

The joint declaration at the 9th G20 Nations’ Speakers Conference was adopted despite objections from Indonesia and other countries. They wanted to condemn Israel’s attacks on Gaza and human rights violations. The Indonesian House of Representatives speaker, Puan Maharani, objected to the absence of the Palestinian issue in the joint statement. However, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla stated that the statement was adopted with consensus.
