Ivory Coast presidency says Robert Beugre Mambe appointed as PM

Robert Beugre Mambe, the governor of Abidjan, has been appointed as the prime minister of Ivory Coast after the government was dissolved earlier this month. President Alassane Ouattara removed the previous prime minister and his cabinet without providing a reason. Mambe, a close ally of Ouattara, has been asked to propose a new government. The dissolution of the government is believed to be related to dissatisfaction with the preparations for hosting the Africa Cup of Nations football tournament next year. Ivory Coast will hold a presidential election in 2025.
