IRR case: HC extends N Chandrababu Naidu’s interim protection till October 18

The high court has extended the interim protection from arrest for TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in the alleged inner ring road (IRR) scam case until October 18. The CID has filed a counter affidavit and requested the matter to be postponed to Thursday, while Naidu’s counsel requested for Wednesday. The court has scheduled the next hearing for Wednesday. Additionally, the CID has stated that it will follow the procedure under section 41A of CrPC for the former minister P Narayana’s relatives who have been named as accused in the IRR case.
