‘Norms Of Collecting Evidence Violated’
The Allahabad High Court has acquitted Surinder Koli and Moninder Singh Pandher in the Nithari serial killings case, stating that the investigators had violated the norms of evidence collection. Koli had been sentenced to death in 13 out of 16 cases, while Pandher had received the death sentence in two cases. However, the court found that the prosecution had failed to prove the guilt of the accused beyond reasonable doubt. Pandher will walk free as he has already served his prison term, but Koli will remain in prison due to a life sentence in another case.
