Spain to ramp up aid to Gaza by 1 million euros, ready to send more

Spain has announced an increase in humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, starting with a package worth 1 million euros ($1.06 million). The acting foreign minister stated that Spain is prepared to send more aid, as the situation in Gaza calls for it. This comes after the Israeli embassy in Madrid accused Spanish officials of siding with Hamas, to which Spain’s foreign ministry responded by condemning Hamas’ attacks and reaffirming its support for the protection of civilians in Gaza. The diplomatic row has been described as a one-off incident.
