US tech layoffs continue: Epic Games-owned Bandcamp announces 50% job cuts

US-based indie music platform Bandcamp has reportedly laid off 50% of its staff, following its acquisition by Fortnite-maker Epic Games. Epic Games had previously announced its plans to sell Bandcamp to California-based music licensing company Songtradr. In addition to Bandcamp, other tech companies including LinkedIn and Stack Overflow have also announced job cuts in October.
